사리역 품은 나무들의 밤

1960년대부터 안산에 거주하는 서민들의 발이 되어 줬던 수인선 사리역의 협궤열차가 품은 이야기를 ‘나무’가 갖는 상징성을 소재로 연극게임, 상상과 변형, 움직임, 이야기 만들기 등으로 풀어낸다. 이러한 활동을 바탕으로 학생들의 상상력, 창의력과 관찰력을 키우고 나아가 사리역이 품은 이야기를 창작 및 전시형 퍼포먼스로 기획하여 영상물로 제작한다.

나무의 노랫소리를 들어라. 옛 기억을 고스란히 품고 있는 나무가 들려줄 노랫소리. 나무는 과거와 현재의 가교역할을, 세상에 대한 이해의 폭을 확장시켜준다. 사리역이 대대로 서민들 삶의 터전이었듯, 사리역을 품은 나무들은 늘 그들의 삶 중심에 있다. 나무의 기원과 나무에 살고 있을 정령들의 이야기에 귀 기울여본다. 나와 나무의 이야기, 나무들의 밤을 직접 찾아 만나본다.
