관객 참여 연극 (theatre in education) '선택'

특성화고를 다니는 학생들은 진로에 대한 고민이 많다. 특히 서울방송고등학교 학생들은 막연히 방송국이나 영화에서 감독해야겠다고 생각했다가 막상 3학년이 되면 현실적인 고민을 하게 된다. 전공을 살려 취업을 할지, 대학에 진학할지, 진로를 바꿔 다른 전공을 생각해야 할지, 또는 특성화고 학생에게만 기회가 주어지는 공기업 • 공무원에 지원할지를 말이다. 어쩌면 대학을 진학하는 일반고 학생들보다 선택의 폭이 넓다는 것이 특성화고 학생들에게는 장점이라고 볼 수 있지만, 그만큼 고민도 깊어질 수밖에 없다. 특히 고3 진학을 앞둔 학생들에겐 그러한 고민이 더욱 현실적으로 다가올 것이다.

TIE(Theatre in Education) '선택'(Choice)은 특성화 고등학교에 재학 중인 고등학교 2학년 학생을 대상으로 진로에 대한 고민을 주제로 작업했다. 그들이 가진 현재의 삶과 미래의 고민을 TIE 과정 안에서 가감 없이 나누며 거리 두고 바라본다.

Students at specialized high schools have a lot of concerns about their career paths. Students of Seoul Broadcasting High School, in particular, vaguely thought that they should direct in broadcasting stations or movies, but when they become third graders, they have real concerns. Whether to find a job with one's major, go to college, change course and think of another, or apply to public corporations and civil servants who are given only opportunities for students of specialized high schools. Perhaps, it is a good thing for students of specialized high schools to have more choices than students of ordinary high schools who go to college, but it is also a serious concern. Especially, those worries will become more realistic for students who are about to enter the third grade of high school.

TIE (Theatre in Education) "Choice" worked on the subject of career concerns for students in their second year of high school attending specialized high school. They share their current life and future worries in the TIE process without any hesitation and look at them from distance.
